We are happy to present to you the members of the Singapore Delegation with their project: “L.I.F.E App”
School: Westwood Secondary School (Singapore)
Project Description: Obesity is a growing concern in Singapore today and as per a warning from Health Promotion Board (HPB), if nothing is done, in 7 years ‘Singapore could reach a tipping point’. This bothered the students of Westwood Secondary School and they could not sit idle. A team of students created a smartphone application-L.I.F.E App (Live.It.Fully.Everyday), designed to monitor daily personal lifestyle and to collect data for the Singapore Health Promotion Board and Ministry of Health. Their prototype involved 150 participants and had extremely positive results and the team is in contact with HPB to make a bigger social impact in Singapore.
Impact: More than 100 people
